Create a new Abandoned Cart SMS Flow
To create a new Abandoned Cart text message:- Navigate to Flows from the left side of your dashboard.
- Select Create Flow in the upper right corner.
- Select Abandoned Cart SMS from the following menu.
Customize your Trigger Settings
When you first land in the Flow builder, you’ll notice the Trigger block is selected. On the right side, you’ll find the following settings:
1. Trigger Filters
For Welcome Emails, you have the option to add the following filters to customize which contacts are allowed to enter this Flow:- Added Product: This setting is optional. It allows you to restrict this text from triggering unless the customers’ cart contains specific products. By default, this setting is disabled, which means that an abandoned cart will trigger this message regardless of which items are in the cart.
- Added from Collection: This setting is optional. It allows you to restrict this text from triggering unless the customers’ cart contains products within specific collections. By default, this setting is disabled, which means that an abandoned cart will trigger this message regardless of which items are in the cart.
- Cart Value: By default, this is set to a minimum cart value of $1 with no maximum cart value, which means that carts with any and all value will receive this message once they are abandoned by a textable contact. You can customize this setting if you’d like to target a specific range of cart value.
2. Exit Criteria
Enabling this feature allows you to automatically remove any contacts who place an order while in the Flow.3. Entry Frequency
Control how often contacts are allowed to re-enter this flow after they’ve already received it:- Immediate re-entry: Contacts can re-enter this Flow without a delay.
- Delayed re-entry: Contacts can re-enter this Flow as long as a certain period of time has passed since they last received it.
- No re-entry: Contacts will only be allowed to enter this specific Flow once.
Note: Phone carrier policies mandate that only 1 Abandoned Cart Text can be sent in a 48 hour period, per Cart Abandonment. We will not send any messages that do not follow this policy.
Customize your time delay
Select your Time Delay block to adjust how long you’d like to wait to trigger your message once your contact abandons their cart. By default, this is set to 1 hour.
Edit your text message
To edit your text message:- Click on the message’s block in your Flow. The SMS Details will open on the right side of your screen.
- Type your message in the text box on the right.
- Add an image or Contact Card, if needed.
Personalize your content
Personalize your message with a variable by selecting the Merge Tags icon in the lower right of the text box.Add a coupon code
- Add a coupon code variable into your message by selecting the Coupon icon in the lower right of the text box.
- Attach your coupon code below the Select Coupon Code section.
